Cooling system fault
Discussion
Hi guys - just back from an early morning Sunday drive and the car gave me an error message that said cooling system fault return to service. I've read on some sites that this may be related to the sports exhaust system, but I have a long drive ahead of me today and wondered if anybody could give any advice. Mine is a March 2015 targa 4 S. Many thanks. Phil
My Cayman has done that 4 times in the past year. Dealer always assures me that it's ok to drive. Amber messages are ok to drive, red messages mean it's not ok to drive.
They keep telling me it's the vacuume operated valves in the cooling system (they use the same vacuume as the PSE valves apparently) and when it fails the valves fail to the safe position.
