A simple question, but probably not one with a simple answer. What's the best TT bike you could pick up new for up to £1k (potentially to squeeze it into the C2W scheme)? The suggestion I've been given so far is the entry level PlanetX bike.

Or should I sod spending money on my stupid Porsche and buy the £3.5k Boardman AirTT I like?

Ribble have TT bikes under £1k, but I don't think they do C2W.

Ribble or planet x are your best bet, have a look on www.timetriallingforum.co.uk too as there are some bargains every now and then.

Don't get too obsessed with carbon either, there are some good steel and alu TT Frames out there but it's hard to see beyond the planet x stealth (and a sneaky mid season wheel upgrade) for the lowest outlay

The PX does seem a good buy. I'd hope that the bike could go through the C2W scheme and I could buy some PX upgraded wheels for races at the same time.
