I might be wrong, but I think the older clear one (yellow top) is generally more reliable than the black one? I think the black one is prone to leaking on track.

Just working out some prices and duty charges. If it happens they'll all have to be delivered to me so there will be some distribution issues too.....

I couldn't take one more day of looking at the factory tank. This is a Canton part. I had my local TIGmeister bend and weld a bracket. I installed two threaded inserts in the frame tubes.

my apologies to PatGas1 and others but I'm afraid I may have just gone and bought one for myself. I wasn't certain that it would fit and clear the clam so didn't want to sort a group buy for owners to then be really angry with me!

It's got a replaceable filter and is double the volume of the original. It also has a vent kit to allow any overflow to drip elsewhere or even be collected if you wish. Hoping the larger size will mean that it won't leak at all though.

It is quite a tight fit especially around both the Pro Alloy hard pipe kits

But looks a treat once in place

High flow filter and vent kit

The bracket requires some minor manipulation to allow the tank to clear the clam consistently when closing and there's really not much room available once the hoses are nipped up so is a bit fiddly. Biggest part of the job is clearing up all the spilt oil and cleaning stuff. Max 1hr job including finding the tool that was just in my hand 5 bloody seconds ago mad

Hi all,

Just thought some would find it interesting here, my black power steering bottle leaked horrendously on my M400 race car and now finally my Irn Bru catch bottle has been removed.

We have gone to the plastic clear bottle from the M12 but it has been rotated and mounted on the bulkhead below the window, of course my car has more space with the fastback but it was successful, not a drop spilled at Silverstone last weekend.! thank fk! that had been a problem for over a year but always had bigger problems to sort so it was put off.

So you basically did exactly what I had done 3 years ago and it no longer leaks... who would have known?

Looks great rob, extra volume is the key and really like the filter... at last a decent option for a stock car smile
