Cheers Bradderz,
Went up to the barn today to clean it before it goes in (everyone knows a clean car passes). I tried the flash function on the stalk.. first time nothing.. then it worked (pods popped up, was hoping it would have been just the fogs that flashed haha) but as it worked.. smoke came from the indicator stalk. Had the exact same problem on a Lupo GTi I used to own, swapped it for a new part and perfect again. So its clearly wrong, new switch/stalk will be needed, but maybe, just maybe it will fix the 'tell-tale' light on the dash.

Tricey.
That happened to me when i re-connected the blue/White striped wire in the stalk on Delilah..Talk about panic...However it only did it once and everything was fine for the rest of the time i had her..(2 years)..smile

Its a fail!
Headlights are all wrong. dipped and main beam are affecting each other, still getting smoke from the stalk on using the flash operation, trying to get a new stalk but not looking like it will happen today!

On a plus.. No advisories.

Tricey.

Hi mate...I can't promise anything but i will see if i have a spare switch/Stalk...If yours is on the L/H/S then i definitely have but it will need your wiring loom to be swapped over to it...Its only a matter of swapping over the spade connectors as i found this one with the plug connector cut off...The wires have seen better days as well but the switch itself feels okay...You can have it for the postage and a little donation to the BBWF charity...Cheers...Ziga

I have an MOT with no advisories!

Zig, thanks for the offer but I think I've managed to source one! It wasn't the problem in the end but I'm still going to change it as its sloppy.

In the fuse box the pins labeled up 'Diode' in the handbook had a 10 amp fuse in it.... removed it and the lights all work as they should!! Apart from the headlight flasher, not and MOT problem but would be nice to have the car fully functioning.

Does anyone know where I can get the diode that should be there?
Cheers,
Tricey!
