Hi guys,
Whilst I am still hoping to do a quick comparison between E1 and Gen-F, there are a couple of differences between Gen-F and... Gen-F.

My car is no. 11 (the one that was cancelled with Peter Vardy). My friend's car is no. 23 (from Picador).

On no. 11 the satnav does not give you an option to put a postal code in. It just does not have the functionality.
On no. 11 when you switch on reverse there are no yellow lines on the screen that would angle out depending on the steering turn that would show the direction the car is going to reverse.

I guess the satnav thing bothers me more than the lines. Anyone know if this can be updated? In fact, either of them?

Owners, could you confirm if the above is present on yours?

Thanks
Bart

These are differences between the MY14 and MY15 radio software. I am just working with Dougie to see if it can be upgraded as I also found this out the other week (I have #019). Someone at HSV has told me that there was a software update released last December that our cars should get so we shall see. Some of the Aussie's have had updates that included the reversing lines, not sure on the postcode though.

BTW, get your cars on the build register wink

Thanks Barny. Done it last night smile

It would be great to be able to upload the nav and park assist at some point. Should I call Dougie too? Or could you fight our corner on our behalf?smile

Hey Barny, any news on the above?

PS. I have noticed the voice recognition works very well and it allows you to choose satnav destinations by telling it the address. What is more important, it does it very well, so if we don't get the post code working, oh well..

PS2. Automatic parking although seen to be a gimmick works wonders, too smile

Hi Dougie, I have just seen video evidence of an MY13 GTS in Oz with the reversing lines after having a mylink upgrade today. This has apparently been available for late MY14's for a while. Please can you follow this up with Holden? I can get you the video evidence if you need to argue with Holden.

Like this? Seems odd to have taken a backward step after the E3?

The lines are overlaid on the reversing camera and bend when you are steering. Computer is being stupid at the moment so cannot screenshot the video to show it.

I did a bit of searching. Bear in mind that is for a Holden Commodore - HSV may have done something different with their software.

It looks like you don't have "missing guidelines", you do however have "Bluetooth connectivity issues and some other problems".

Have a look here:
[urlhttp://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vf-holden-commodore-2013/235216-reverse-camera-guide-lines-19.html[/url]

Page 23 mentions an October 2013 (so probably VF) HSV R8.

Follow the Dropbox link for a letter from GMH confirming updates are available for Holdens.

The only time I have problems with BT, is when I want to use BT Audio and connect it to the USB socket in the armrest, jumps straight ober to Ipod and makes it unable to switch back over to BT. And I can't use Soundcloud in the Ipod mode.

Oh, and why is the car so quiet!?!?!

Oh, and the sound system is lacking bass, until bass fully cranked up. Was expecting a bit more from Bose sound system smile

Oh, and when will they learn the placement of cupholders is utterly rubbish?
