AND the baby and baby bump photos!

YAWN!

You see one baby you've seen them all!
Yes. When it is born you get the inevitable comments "Oh it's so beautiful", "Wow what a gorgeous boy/girl"

No - it looks like every other baby. Quite fat, very confused and not fking beautiful.
I think they all look a bit like potatoes.

I think the really sad thing about gym selfies is the haters.

Someone is bettering themselves, why not support it?

Wow some seriously miserable bds on here.
If you don't want to see gym/food/baby selfies then unfriend or block them or leave FB altogether. But secretly I bet you love snooping on other people's lives and would rather see things like that than an empty news feed wink

I like seeing pics of people's gym results, food, travels etc. because it gives me inspiration to do that kind of stuff, rather than being a miserable jealous tt.
I sort of agree with this. There are a number of people that post lots of selfies on my FB, they just get unfriended or if that might result in awkwardness I'll unfollow them. I wouldn't get rid of FB altogether as it's too useful, and as the post above says I do like seeing other peoples lives sometimes. Call it a guilty pleasure.

Instagram is where it's at for gym selfies though, some of the girls that post stuff up are outrageously attractive. Wouldn't do it myself but then I'm under no illusions about my ugly mug biggrin

Having recently started weight training again, I can see why people do it as it requires a lot of work and they want to show it off, but still, even if I do manage to get reasonably into shape, I wont.

Usually its younger folk advertising their wares in an attempt to breed where with me, have done all that, just want to stop turning into Jabba the Hutt.

The ones that really get on my tits are the couples who wish each other happy valentines day or happy birthday on Facebook. The ones who live together. I'm always tempted to to tell them that they could have just said that when they woke up - in the same fking bed as each other.

Still, not as bad as the rants about politics.

This really gets on my tits. I've noticed that it seems to be the couples that have the weakest relationships that post this kind of drivel, as if to try to show the world they're the most madly in love couple, where they both know things are on the rocks.

Ah yes, but you will take photos of your watch and post it on a TVR forum.

How weird is that, to some people it's normal, but you wouldn't find me doing it.
Not really weird at all, this 'TVR forum' has a specific watch section where it's kind of the point to talk about and post pictures of watches.

If there was a specific forum or place for gym selfies then I doubt anyone would have a problem with it, it's more that they are put on a site where they are broadcast to everyone by default whether they want to see it or not.

It is rather odd, taking a selfie and posting it online is quite literally going 'LOOK AT MEEEEEE!!!!!!'. I find my own life rather tedious a lot of the time, I've no idea why anyone else would be interested in it and the same applies in reverse. Whilst I'm interested in how built I am (not very) or what an epic pump I've achieved I can't see why anyone else would be.

Then again I'm an unsociable bugger and my facebook feed has almost nobody on it as I can't be bothered to read all the rubbish everyone posts.
That's a really depressing post hehe

I quite like seeing crappy pictures of my friends doing interesting or fun stuff. It's just la little connection with them that I might not have had as they live abroad etc. It ought not to substitute actually seeing them if at all possible though.

What I don't like is when people I don't know that well, but felt I couldn't ignore their friend requests, post stuff to create an image of themselves."my husband is soo amazing" " my au pair is so great" "look how big my house is " "look at what my husband bought me" (why's it usually women that do this?) are they just trying to make people jealous? What kind of friend wants to make others feel bad? tts.

If I were on top of my amazing au pair every night, I'd definitely let all my friends know about it.

If anyone uses Twitter have a look for Gym wkers.

Its not people posting selfies in the gym but other people filming tts in the gym and posting it. Some are clearly set ups but there are some genuinely funny ones.

Funny you should say that as on one of theses snaps you are oiled up like a Chip, looking like you are about to attempt some chin ups on a door frame at your house/caravan.
If you keep buying the photos, I'll keep sending them. smile

^^ This. As much as I dont like it, when you've worked for something its natural to want to show off a bit about it. Also, never take the piss over people in the gym. They've regonised they can improve and are taking steps to do so, and not have the piss taken.
