The headache that comes after is worst than the punch in my opinion. Getting punched in the ear is just as bad, with the ringing in the ears.

Yes. A few times. The worst was a really hard hit with a bare fist from an amateur boxer. It didn't knock me out, it didn't hurt a lot, but there was a fair bit of blood, and my nose never fully recovered it's shape. I was cheeky, I got punched. Still cheeky today.

Yup overtook a BMW 3 series in my old Pug 306 Gti about 10 years ago.

The guy took exception and nearly rammed me off the road forcing me to stop. I didn't get out the car but wound down the window when he came over and received a fist in the face. He threatened to kill me and then stormed off in his car. I was a minute away from the golf club I was going to and by the time I arrived my right eye had a right shiner.

I should have got his plate and reported him but was so shocked I did nothing. I felt more shocked and embarrassed more than much pain and had to put up with people taking the piss for a week or two. Not the best moment I've had TBH. frown

Yes, on the forehead.

The punch propelled me into the air and I fainted at the apex of my flight (I was 97kg at the time)

I have regained consciousness just in a squatting position near the ground. Used my legs to counter his reach and an enviably better punching and guarding technique.

Was also swamped by 13 guys once.. One of them tried to bite my ear off. I couldn't find a non-sore spot on my head for purposes of laying it on the pillow for the next two weeks, but it all healed up nicely since then. can't even find the scar on the ear anymore.

It's the flash of white light that always surprised me.

The impact doesn't really hurt. It's the resulting muscle damage through stress or cramp in your neck... or the mouth ulcers you invariably develop days later (if hit in the mouth or jaw) or the swelling (if near the eyes).

Not something I really enjoy.

Yep used to do kickboxing so plenty of times, took a heel to the eye as well that ended up with a hospital visit and X-rays.

As in a street fight, once or twice when I was young (teens) but they weren't really punches at that age were they!

Pain wise I don't think it's as bad as people worry about, more of a dull throbbing pain than a sharp piercing one.

In real life, a few times as a kid. Once as a young adult. Was totally steamboats so barely felt it at the time, guy sucker punched me in a club for absolutely no reason I could fathom. Just a chav scumbag. Been punched plenty in kickboxing, but only sparring so no one trying to take my head off. Have been caught with a couple of good ones behind the ear though. Not sore but certainly gives you the wobbles for a second.

I got jumped by a gang when I was 17, they were a couple of years younger than me, but there was a whole mob of them, I was quite drunk at the time, and once on the floor the remaining punches and kicks are all a bit of a blur.

Eventually got home, blood everywhere, spent two days in bed broken nose, bruises, split lip black eyes etc.

At the time, didn't feel much pain. Later was worse.

I know my brother saw one of them on his a few days later and knocked him out. But after that it was all quiet.

Once as an adult. The other guy started and coudln't fight so luckily it didn't hurt much just a scar that went after a couple of weeks.

Been headbutted as well as an adult and my god that hurt. Again this probably sounds billy big bks but I just stared at the guy to see what he would do next when nothing happened I walked off. Afterwards though when the adrenaline wore off I wanted to cry from the pain. The guy caught me right on the bridge of the nose.

Haha! Was up at the bar with my girlfriend last year, and some bloke tried to chat her up and kept squeezing her ass. She told him to stop, and slapped him (loud enough the whole pub went silent) I told him in no uncertain terms to Foxtrot Oscar and he swung for me as I turned around to see if my girlfriend was okay, caught me right on the bottom of my jaw, on the left hand side of my face. It was hard enough to spin me around, so I gathered myself up, put my pint down and hooked him right in the nose. Blood everywhere, and he got barred - I didn't biggrinbiglaugh

I do now, however have a jaw that is 2cm to the left at the bottom, normally you can't really tell, but in pictures it really shows, and in the winter I get chronic Jaw/Tooth ache!

Years ago, when i was 18 i was in the local there was a rugby club on some sort of inter club visit.
At the end of the night I was walking home when from behind this bloke tapped me on the shoulder and punched me full on smack in the mouth, unprovoked and totally out of the blue.
Apparently he was the utter mental and had taken a dislike to me and decided to knock me out.
However, he didn't even knock me over,I am not small,he did rip my lip open by use of my teeth though.
He had the rugby club rep for this, and he always knocked the target out,in my bewilderment and shock.
I just stood and stared, by this time his fellow club mates had him in a secure arm lock, and in my shock, I just started to laugh at him.
It later transpired the fact he didn't knock me down, let alone out, and then I laughed at him, made him the laughing stock of the club.
I also had him banned from his rugby club, and working mens club when I put in a complaint.
I still have a small lump inside my lip,35 years later the bd.
