Cables - tied in knots

Hi, apologies for technical illiteracy, can anyone advise? Thought I had it all sussed for MBE cable (3 pin from TVRParts) and RS232 to laptop, BUT have just been told that my 99 cerb has two pin data lead in passenger footwell. So , can I get round this, or do I need a new cable, and if so, where from?? Can a good local garage then set throttle bodies with Ollie's software, and what is procedure? Ta
