Anyone in electronics manufacturing here?

I have a customer who needs 105 small relay units, the exact product I want doesn't exist but there is a very similar unit that only needs minor modifications to get to where we need it. I have an electronic schematic for the existing item. The existing item pre made is only £6 ea. retail for single quants so it's not a big unit.

Just trying to find out more info on getting them made, need them fairly quickly too but will need a prototype to test first.

Any ideas?

That is a tiny quantity to have a 'special' relay made, obviously more info is needed but could the functionality not be replicated by using an existing relay and a custom PCB with additional components? I'm happy to have a look at it, i designed a relay circuit that went in Bentleys that dropped the window when the door was opened.
PM me the schematic or an overview of what you are trying to achieve

I use PCB Train for prototype and low volume PCBs and assembly.

Thanks for the replies, I've just realized they want it supplied and installed within the next 2 weeks so I think that rules out anything custom made!!!

I'm having a look at a couple of alternatives (pre made) if they don't work then I'll PM you about custom, but will have to speak to the client about realistic lead times.

I'm pretty sure the existing item can be slightly modified, but even that will require 100 + units to have a component de-soldered, new component in, tested etc..

This is what I want;

But powered by 5V USB and instead of a PCB mounted IR receiver I need screw terminals for an external IR input from an IR repeater block.

The only one that was available, now isn't!

So you'll need 105 off a new unit designed and manufactured within two weeks? Whilst it's possible I suspect you'll need a massive budget.
