A lot you could pick in that price bracket. As a toy I'd say an Elise or a Scooby

I have a griff, bought 7 years ago for 10k
The ultimate toy!
A few years ago bought an Elise to join it, again highly recommend it!

I'd maybe go for a true classic though, MGB or TR6.
Good English classic that brightens up people's day when you see them smile

Or a Westfield/caterham/7 type thing.

Off to the classifieds...

I'm in the same boat but could stretch to £12k and keep coming back to the chimaera or 996.

Done just 1200 miles on my RSV in the last 3 years and I'm trying to think of something with some presence for weekends with the wife to replace it.

Not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure but I bought a Z4 Coupe in that budget last year and I love it!cloud9

Brilliant naturally-aspirated straight6 and RWD - last of its kind I expect (hope)!

He said toy.

TVR an event every time you start it. Will put a smile on your face.
996 competent, too competent perhaps, potentially ruinous if they go wrong.

I am biased though

GO drive a TVR Chimaera. Actually, just go START a TVR Chimaera. You soon know which car is the one you want.... Roof off, good speed, plenty of boot space for shopping, what's not to love?
