I'm looking at travelling to New York in December with the girlfriend.

I've found return flights from Manchester stopping in Rejkevic for a couple of hours for £375 return. This is significantly cheaper than other airlines.

Has anyone flown with Iceland Air and have any feedback?

I have not personally flown with Icealand Air.... but that is a very good price for return flights and I think the stop in Iceland would be a nice break providing you are not delayed by weather etc.

Flew the same route with them a few years back at a good price.

That has the option of breaking the flight for variable length in Iceland, so we spent 3 days in Rejkavik on the outward leg but straight through on the return. An idea if you have time.

I flew with them ages ago and took the chance to overnight in Iceland on the way back. Don't recall anything wrong with them but it was 20 years ago ish.

Mate did this last week, he's an awkward cuss when it comes to travel but he was impressed; economy was like economy plus he reckoned.

I would strongly disagree...it's a very basic economy service, and you don't get any drinks/meals etc. included. It's a definite step down from a full-service airline and way way lower than say BA WT+

Having said that they are very cheap so if you can spare the extra time, and don't mind the extra hassle of changing planes with the associated possibility of missed connections, then it's a good way to get over the pond at a very decent cost. Again if you have the time then it's well worth spending a couple of days in Iceland in any case, it's a great place to visit.

Flew with them (to Iceland, A320 I think) in January, they're fine. Yes we did have to pay for drinks/snacks but the service was very good. No problems at all.
