Apart from it slowing the development for the child it will damage their teeth long term, much like sucking a pacifier with teeth. Their immune system will be weakened in the long term as they have relied on the mother at a time when they need to build their immunity.

This is all about the mother, not the kids. There's something wrong with her.

I think it looks weird as soon as the kids have teeth and are crawling/standing.

Plus the social aspects. Imagine a 7 year old telling her friends at school she still drinks Mums boobies?

That said I'd put good money on some kind of home schooling arrangement here.

Before I clicked the link I knew the mother would have very short hair and be a lentil weaving type.

As a non child lover, what's the typical age to stop breast feeding?

Weaning onto solids usually happens around six months, but varies from child to child.
There's no medical benefit of continuing breast feeding once they're of potty training age. Although some mothers and children enjoy the emotional bond it brings.
