Hi chaps,

Well the IVA application is finally in so just awaiting my test date. Post IVA, one of the jobs I would like to tackle is the weight of the clutch pedal. I'm using a Superclutch triple plate organic clutch with a hydraulic release bearing (GD setup). Clutch is incredibly heavy to the point of almost being unusable...
So, I have a smaller master cylinder to try first which will help, but I would really like to fit a remote clutch servo.
Has anyone ever tried this or managed to modify the clutch pedal perhaps?
Cheers!

My car had one when I purchased it but I removed it during the rebuild.

Basically it was a brake servo used to act as a clutch servo. Mounted on one of the brackets in the side pods. It helped lighten the clutch but I don't have a problem with the current clutch and would not put it back.

I was thinking that side pod would be the only place with enough space for a servo. Just need to work out how best to access it! Perhaps a movable hatch on inner part of the side pod?

the orginal chassis have brackets for mounting servos... they are just forward of the storage bins

only way in after rebuild is body off or de rivit ally panels to right or left of your feet when inside

i wouldnt bother... if too heavy. go one size smaller on cylinder

Ive just uprated my clutch and going to try a .65 clutch master cylinder. Its fine for fast roads, but with some footwear and slow moving traffic the ball of my foot starts to ache! Tellin point whether the master cylinder moves the lever enough to fully free the clutch..... I'll find out when I fit it!
