No, I just found it a mildly amusing combination. Erroneous perceived implication on your part. You don't have to have a persecution complex just because you're a cyclist.
Been on my bike about 5 times in the last 10 years - Sorry about busting your theory frown

Erroneous conjecture on your part.
You're a cyclist, albeit a lazy-arsed cyclist, so my observation is sound...smile

How come no-one's found a reason why it's the cyclist's fault? Isn't this still Pistonheads??
MBH did - we all know that speed kills. We should be happy Mr. Speed lived that long.

It's because the culprit is a woman.
Not just a woman. An ugly woman who looks like she lives on benefits. Just about the only thing worse than a non road tax paying cyclist. If she'd had big pert jugs and was pretty then it would have been the scummer cyclists fault and we'd be seeing posts about lesbian jail action by now.

On a serious note, the vast majority of people I do see these days holding a phone to their head while driving are female. Although, to be fair, it may be because I don't spend as much time looking at men.

We can tell it's PH as fkwits keep making inflammatory statements in the hope of stirring up arguments.

My dear little Yonex, constantly mashing your brains into a saddle has clearly hurt your ability to comprehend simple sentences. I am not an anti-cycling bigot, I actually use a bicycle fairly often and I really enjoy building and repairing bikes. However I admit that I am an anti-tt bigot, whether the tts are on bicycles, cars, motorcycles or just posting in forums.

Maybe you could re-read the thread, and discover where you made your mistake in assuming I was making an anti-cycling statement?

Calm down dear, it's ok you're allowed to have an irrational dislike of a group of people...but at least stand by your convictions wink

Facing jail - I f*****g hope so, but probably not for long enough!

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen cars drifting across lane markings while the driver was using a phone.

Last week the stupidest one had a tablet resting on the steering wheel....shoot

Licence should be rescinded for good until they have had remedial training and are required to have a modified car that blocks phone signals while it is in motion!

If your calls are that important get a car with Bluetooth, buy a Parrot or similar or just f*****g stop (or better still use the bus)- it's not that difficult surely?

Well spotted. However, MBH did not suggest it was the cyclist's fault. Trust me, I know him...smile

MBH has been around for more than two world wars. Everyone knows him. Anyways, he suggested that it had to do with Mr. Speed's name. And that can only be the cyclist's fault.

Two world wars and one world cup, actually...smile

Anyway, you clearly missed this post...

Cyclist's name, that is.

I have absolutely no knowledge of the incident, so I have no reason to believe that this particular sweaty crotch was to blame, nor did I suggest he was.

HTH...smile

No, no, MBH - your guess was right. We don't need details about the incident when we know that Speed Kills, and Speed was evidently on the cyclist's side.
As tragic as any death is, I don't see why anyone would not spot an obvious mocking of the eloi-esque campaign that is speedkills.

In America a Michigan judge had a similar fatality with a cyclist.

http://www.autoblog.com/2015/06/04/woman-cell-phon...

She admitted to it, didn't go through quite the process of covering up that this "person" did. But aside from the frankly pathetic 6 months (of which she must do 90 days. hard times eh? rolleyes) she was banned from owning a smart phone for 2 years. (Or risk going back to prison)

That last part is interesting, though I'd still prefer a longer sentence as well as a phone ban. The ban on phone ownership is probably the only thing that would stop a lot of people who constantly drive playing with the damn things. Maybe the Government should be doing a 2 year ban on a phone instead of points on the license?

Too many fkwits around who still think it's ok to use a phone whilst driving. Top Gear didn't help with that. I like the show, but their whole "Driving whilst on the phone" crap was just dumb. People actually think like that and believe it.

Glad to see she is getting the book thrown at her.
I'm not sure what you mean with the Top Gear thing. Are you against the use of hands free?
