I have seen previous posts re Viseeo Tune2Air WMA1000. I would like to add bluetooth streaming of music but this product would seem to no longer be available. Has anyone tried the official AM upgrade? If so how much does it cost and what does it entail? Alternatively are their any other products on the market which are suitable?

The official upgrade for your car is priced at "fully fitted £459.99 including VAT."

Or at least it was in December.

Tried Amazon but oit of stock. WMA 3000 available but I do not think compatible. It no longer features on Viseeo's own website.

Do you have a 3.5mm socket. I ask because you can get bluetooth receivers that output via a headphone jack. Type 'bluetooth audio receiver' into eBay to see the sort of thing I am on about.

I use this one in cars with a 3.5mm aux in and it is very good with the battery lasting about 2 hours.

Also this one will go straight onto a 30 pin apple connector.

I'll sell you my Viseo for £440...

This has mixed messages on stock but someone bought from it recently on another forum:

I priced the new AM Bluetooth streaming accessory kit hen it was announced last year.
If your car has OEM Bluetooth already fitted (MY 2008 onwards?) then the AM kit is circa £300 and 1 hours labour fitting.

The Viseeo unit is the best option I think, but there are now lots of these 30 pin Bluetooth modules available at starting prices of £10 and upwards.
I am assuming the Viseeo is a higher spec Bluetooth module to justify its price of £78 otherwise just buy one for £10 and try it (thats what I am going to do as a test)

I have ordered one of these to test it

I can confirm the WMA1000 works a treat. Turns the (now) useless 30pin Apple connector into a Bluetooth audio receiver with full Aston control/functionality... brilliant! And for 69 squids it's over 450 less than the Aston official.

much as I'd interested in knowing how the 8 quid version sounds, it didn't seem worth messing with cheaper versions when this works absolutely perfectly and with great quality, even considering Bluetooth audio limitations.

Only glitch is WMA1000 seems to be out of stock in many places?

I tried 4 different brands of the cheap dock-bluetooth adapters before I found one that worked worth the Dension, The key is to buy one the supports track names it seems.

Just called works and for my MY2007 DB9 (which has Bluetooth telephone) I was quoted £1821.10 to have the Bluetooth streaming module fitted.

Anyone done this for less on an older AM?

Do you know if the upgrade to a 2007MY DB9 will enable you to down load your phone contacts & view them on the centre console display?
Sounds a lot of money to me. Steve

Hi AMV8S

I was in a similar boat - had previously bought a WMA1000 for my Range Rover which works and worked perfectly. To begin with I would swap them between the two cars but sometimes I would forget and when the wife took the Range Rover away I would be left frustrated without it. I've used cheaper ones and this one just works so perfectly and effortlessly it knocks spots off all others.

I was therefore frustrated beyond belief trying to find another one and as you said even the official store doesn't sell it anymore. I was able to find another one on this website (http://www.bambuzo.com/uk/viseeo-tune2air-wma1000-wireless-bluetooth-music-interface-adapter-for-car-audio-integration.html?gclid=CKSn3M7ImcYCFeHLtAodHzYFuw) and it arrived a week or so ago. More expensive than when I bought my first but not achingly so. I am again a very happy camper and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Hope this helps.

Which of the options mentioned on this thread allow the use of audio streaming via blue tooth AND hands free telephone? For me, not much point in being able to stream music off my phone and not be able to use the phone as a phone! I have blue tooth for hands free but not audio and so just have a usb stick permanently plugged in for music. Having the phone is a must have for me as it's how I open my gate!

WMA1000 allows both. It gives BT streaming of music and doesn't interfere with the car's existing hands free phone capability (assuming your car has it).

I've just booked my 2006 Vantage in to have the official bluetooth streaming upgrade kit fitted next friday at JCT Brooklands Aston Martin in Leeds. As mine is an earlier model with factory fitted bluetooth already i required the more expensive Kit 2. The price fitted is £1139.99 and i was told that includes 3 hours labour time for the fitting.

It might seem quite expensive for what it is but i've hated having to use cd's ever since i got the car 3 years ago and my Porsche has the bluetooth streaming and it's fantastic. I have Spotify connected to it constantly and you've basically got more music than you could ever need!

I purchased a WMA1000 via eBay from an Aus seller £70 plus customs and the wait was worth it. Works perfectly took all of 60 seconds to pair iPhone 6 with it and off I went having Bluetooth streamed music via mobile and controlled via AM system.

Sound level is slightly lower but must admit I have not used it in anger as entertainment is normally generated via "sports" activated exhaust of my V12 :-)

Another very happy user. Works perfectly with control of music on my phone via the dash head unit, would not know it wasn't a factory system. Incidentally still using an iPhone 5, and while I can dial names from the phone book, I cannot access recently dialled numbers. About to change to Galaxy S6 so will see how that works for music and phone.
