I purchased a WMA1000 via eBay from an Aus seller £70 plus customs and the wait was worth it. Works perfectly took all of 60 seconds to pair iPhone 6 with it and off I went having Bluetooth streamed music via mobile and controlled via AM system.

Sound level is slightly lower but must admit I have not used it in anger as entertainment is normally generated via "sports" activated exhaust of my V12 :-)
I must say I've never noticed this - check that that the volume on the iPhone is also high (i.e. just press the side volume controls until you hit peak volume) and that will ensure you have the highest volume output.

One of the things that makes the WMA1000 so good is how it works effortlessly with the handsfree car phone and the use of spotify. Really is a no-brainer for me.

WMA1000 allows both. It gives BT streaming of music and doesn't interfere with the car's existing hands free phone capability (assuming your car has it).
Another very happy user. Works perfectly with control of music on my phone via the dash head unit, would not know it wasn't a factory system. Incidentally still using an iPhone 5, and while I can dial names from the phone book, I cannot access recently dialled numbers. About to change to Galaxy S6 so will see how that works for music and phone.
The car's BT system is a bit picky on last dialled. Sometimes it will do it, other times it won't.

Thanks will try that.

Tried Amazon but oit of stock. WMA 3000 available but I do not think compatible. It no longer features on Viseeo's own website.
I can confirm this doesn't work as it doesn't quite fit into the connection.

Looking out for the 1000.

Just concerned that like the 3000 it may not fit my connection.

The 3000 looked like std iPod connection but it was just too small.

For those using the WMA1000 with a Dension GW500, does anyone find that occasionally it doesn't pair with the phone, and you end up having to quickly unplug it in order for it to do so?

Also, (I could easily answer this myself if I were near my car biggrin) my car has a Parrot blue tooth kit fitted, so I have only ever used that for the phone. Does the Dension + WMA1000 combination allow the phone to pair with the built in car phone? I find the microphone quality so much better on the built in kit vs. the Parrot one.

In answer to my question, no it does not. Can't get the phone function to work in conjunction with the Denison at all.

Kippax, is there a difference between the connector in 09 cars vs earlier years? I have 09 DB9, but do not have the iPod cable. Sifting through all this information to try and work out if I can use the WMA 3000 (which comes with the connecting cable), or whether I buy the WMA 1000 and then hunt down a cable..or whether I just need to find a cable on its own...

can anyone save my sanity?

Hi there! Sorry to raise an old thread but.........

I have just bought an 08 V8V. it has Bluetooth (Phone) and iPod lead. I use a Galaxy S6 would love to be able to stream Spotify. Can anybody let me know if.......The WMA1000 is compatible with the Samsung (research doesn't seem to suggest so) and if not, does the WMA3000 plug straight into the existing socket that the iPod "hard wire" goes into or is it a different fitment? I bought a cheap Bluetooth receiver which plugs straight to the existing iPod lead but it cannot be read from my Samsung or the other half's iPhone.

I really don't want to have to pay AM to fit their own Bluetooth audio module (plus if the WMA system works I can use it in the RR also!

Help appreciated.

Cheers

I use the Tune2Air with a Galaxy S6. It streams a playlist ok so presumably would work with Spotify.

Thank you for the reply. Can you confirm which Tune2Air you are using and I assume it plugs straight into the Aston Multimedia port?

Cheers

Mark.

I have been trying every combination to get Spotify to work in the DBS. The Aux cable just gives feedback (even when fitted with a supressor) and the FM transmitters seem to have low audio quality.

Looking at the thread I think I will try the WMA 1000 into the iPad socket - worth a shot.

This is what I use, bought from Amazon 18 months ago, and yes it plugs straight in:

ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000

Incidentally, with the iPhone 5 I could select my tracks via the in-dash head unit, but with the S6 I have to control what I am listening to on the phone. On the other hand for phone use with the iPhone I could not access the recent calls list through the head unit, whereas with the S6 I am able to do so.

$12 solution!

I just got an 2006 DB9 Volante and it had the older BTooth module so I could already synce and make calls, just not stream music. Well, instead of the $2K solution (Aston requires a $1500 upgrade unit as it replaces part of the DIN as well for 2008 and earlier), I went and just tried an FM transmitter.

Mind you, I did my research and found the TOP rated one (Nulaxy KM-19, 18, 20) on Amazon that claimed to have the best performance and I really can't say anything negative here against it. It cost $12 off of AliBaba ($20 on Amazon) and I got the KM-19 as I didn't need the big flex arm and preferred the smaller unit (there is some method to this madness later).

AliExpress (use the mobile app and you'll save an extra $1): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Nulaxy-Wireless-FM...

Reviews on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Nulaxy-Wireless-Bluetooth-T...

Well, the unit works AMAZINGLY with no distortion as this one has the best clarity and sounds better than any other adapter (even 3.5mm in) that i've ever used. I mounted/plugged it into the trunk 12V (I know, it's ALWAYS on, more later on this as well) so it would be able to be right next to the antenna in the boot.

Now, when I walk up to the Aston, BOTH the car and the KM-19 sync with my phone so I get BTooth calling AND music streaming pretty much as intended per factory:

2 concerns you might have from my 'install':

1) 12v in the trunk is ALWAYS on (even with car turned off) so it might drain the battery: The Nulaxy only draws 45ma when ON and even less (25ma) on standby. I took some measurements and the car itself draws ~110ma shut down already so adding another 20-40ma isn't overkill and based on a battery with 40AH (average), it would take 10-15 days for this unit to drain the battery just sitting there. The rest of the car would kill the battery first anyway (I think that's why Aston has even provided a charging socket in the back) so I haven't had any problems at all.

2) by using the rear 12v, the plate/guard on the panel is always open, thus running the risk of hitting the battery kill switch: this problem is mitigated by getting the KM-19 rather than the other models. It is a short unit with a pivotable control plate that practically covers the kill switch, thus preventing the button from getting hit if you position it correctly with the right angle:

I will post pics up of the unit, the BT sync on my phone but this has been completely seemless so I wanted to share this $12 fix to a $2000 problem. I know many (myself included) are very skeptical of FM transmitters but this one REALLY WORKS AMAZING and has solved any desire to want to do the factory install as I pretty much get the same UX for just $12!

Looking for a Tune2air WMA1000 online and it seems to be the same as the following Bovee product.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bovee-Wireless-Bluetooth-...

Can anyone confirm this? At least if it is, the Bovee product seems to be readily available.

The Bovee is the same thing and works well. I believe there was some licensing infraction with Viseeo brand and Apple got grumpy......
