Well I don't know too much about the Nurburgring 24h race , but it looks like Subaru came 18th overall ( out of 151 ) which considering the cars that surrounded it I think is pretty good.

They were also first in their class my quite a margin I think, its shame they don't make more of a song and dance about it here in the UK as it was seeing McRae in his WRC car that introduced me to the brand as a lifelong fan and owner.

Well Done Subaru !

They don't even mention the STI on all their social media so unless you want a diesel XV this sort of news will be lost on most.

I guess that's what they want to be known for in the UK , I think is a shame as Subaru have a genuine and successful history in motorsport which you can see transferred to some of their consumer cars.

Having had a quick look at Rally America it seems Subaru dominate ( granted there are few competitors ) and I think most car people were fairly impressed by the Isle of Man TT time.

I hope they don't forget about these entirely on social media or perhaps the younger car fans will overlook them. Also, why cant I buy a brand new WRX for less than £19k like in the US!

Different import tax structure? Or just exchange rate + sales volumes, who knows!

You cannot buy any car as cheaply here as in America. Or Japan. It's been like that forever

Except when it comes to second hand cars, where they are FAR cheaper here than the states (maybe not Japan)

Well done subaru though! If you've been watching the Launch Control series on youtube (and you should), they just missed out on the win last year. Can't wait for the video, it'll be a good one!
