One Night Campsite

Hey!
I've managed to get a rare weekend off work - and better still some childcare for the night - and would like to take my wife off for the night somewhere. Every campsite I seem to find has a minimum 2 night stay, some 5 in high season!
In your experience, do any sites offer flexibility on this? ie - If I just want one night, and someone ELSE just wants one night, are they sensible about it? In my experience hotels are fine with it if they have an otherwise unoccupied pitch.
PS: We're looking at North Norfolk.

We quite often just go for one night - if the weather is good, I phone on the morning and book for the Saturday night. Phoning the owners of site may help?
Also, a little cheekily, I found most sites on the bank holiday weekend would only allow three nights booked. I booked three nights and then only turned up and got charged for two....

We've been coming up against this quite a lot recently but found out the following from one of the Assistants at our local Camping & Caravanning Club site.
He told us that firstly, grass pitches (no elec hookup) are always open for just one night bookings over the weekends.
Secondly, as above, call up on Saturday morning and ask if there's availability - more often than not (if it's not a Bank Holiday weekend), they'll have capacity.
Plan on doing far more of these as the summer roles on as it's very difficult for me to get away early enough on a Friday evening to get anywhere further than 30-odd miles.

Good call on Britstops - just heard about them the other day and have taken the opportunity to sign up.
Kelling Heath is a good site, if not a little commercial. Depends on what you want - if you want swimming pool (pay extra), good, well stocked shop and bar/restaurant, with some nice walks through the heath and forest, then great. But a little too commercial for me. Might come into its own when our little'un is a little older, but personally found it a little too much like Centre Parcs for caravaners.

Having a campervan we just jump in and go.
Generally find if you ring the site up and they have space they will let you do a single night.
Only exception for this may be peak times eg bank holidays,peak summer weeks etc.

We've always done ok using this book.
Smaller campsites seem much more friendly/accommodating.

Pentney Park and Kings Lynn Camping and Caravan park would both do one night though maybe not on Bank Holidays. Our caravan is at KLCC and we keep it there permanently, well for most of the year, just tow elsewhere when SWMBO's off work. Pentney's OK, got two pools one indoor one outdoor but the owner's sort of lost interest since he's trying to sell it so it's not the best kept site and the loos are crap. KLCC is very nice indeed and the loos are first class, probably the best we've seen and SWMBO's fussy about loos. There's little for kiddies to do, but great if you're just you and the boss. They also have pods to rent too if you don't want to pitch a tent or tow a van. Very popular and good fun apparantly
