Greetings all.

I am taking my RHD 4C to France in a few days and was hoping to find in the manual where on the headlamps you need to mask to avoid dazzling oncoming cars. Needless to say there's nothing in there.

Anyone on here done this already / knows where to mask / taken pix of the headlamps masked?

Thanks
Rick

Many modern cars have a flat beam and you don't need to do it. Check them out on a wall or similar.

Sadly not. It kicks up to the left. I've tried putting bits of card in front of the lens in various places to see if I can block it but so far I have not found a good solution. I might get some of those diffusers and try them on it.

I presume you checked the manual for topics like 'Adjusting the headlights abroad'.

Ta. Where did you get that from? My manual is...er.....sh**

I have the Bi LEDs though so will still need to cover them. Does your manual show where and how?

Why didn't I think of that. Doh!

Just found it. Blimey. You have to cover 2/3 of the headlight!!!!!

Thanks Magic smile

I remember a few years ago when I had a porsche 993. I was busy messing around trying to cover the headlamps when a kind chap told me that you simply open the bonnet flick a switch and the head lamp is set for the continent. That was a 95 car! I am super surprised that most modern cars don't have a similar set up!

My 2001 Tuscan had the same feature. P1ss easy to change over. 2014 car.....er......3 guesses!!

Anyway. We only drove in daylight but I did need the headlamps when it was chucking it down on Thursday 10th. Car went extremely well and was a delight to drive.
