"Had a brilliant ride out today on the R1. Did 3 tanks of fuel in
A quick lad on a K5 thou bumped into us coming up to Cawood and we got into a bit of a duel which ended in this;
He was absolutely fine, not a scratch on him thank fook, the bike might want a pat down with a shammy though
That ditch was a good eight footer drop from the road
If you ever see this post mate, the ride was awesome, thx! Hope you and the bike are ok

Having a good time at BTCC, had a few beers, and the payments were surprisingly good. You can almost see my simple wee mind doing the "could i, should i".

Went to spa for the weekend to watch the f1...spent about 14hrs on the bike yesterday thanks to the channel tunnel...arse is destroyed!
I had a Dorsoduro for a while and loved it, can't imagine touring on one though fair play to you.Edited by JIM600 on Tuesday 25th August 17:58

Had a great run on the bike on Sunday. No doubt these are some of the best roads in Britain.

Nice pics mate.
Im off to France via the tunnel mid Sept, how good/bad was it?
Hopefully it will have calmed down a bit by then, but it seemed to be luck of the draw...on the way over we were delayed by 1 hr, on the way back we spent an hour in the holding pen and then they were randomly assigning trains at the ticket machines, my girlfriend checked in and got a 6pm train, I rode through 10 seconds later and got put on an 8.30pm train, bikers behind were on 10pm trains despite turning up at 5! All because of people in the tunnel. I didn't envy the girl behind the customer services desk, her advice was aim for daytime crossings - the late night ones seem to be the most affected. 80s theme night at Allseaons, wasnt many bikes there, think the prospect of showers put many off but I got runner up, this rare VF1000R was voted best bike on the night.
RZ500 was lovely too.
I saw my First VF1000R on the M1 heading home from Sevenoaks in 1983, It looked like a GP bike at the time. RZ500 was lovely too.
RZ was the Aluminium framed RD500. (as I'm sure you'll know)
