The south coast circuit
Discussion
Been having a thought about a route around Hampshire, Sussex and Dorset, idea being that some phers start the route, meet up with others along the route, as it's a circuit then you will all finish at the meeting point locations.
Would need to make a good route that involves plenty of great roads, a272, a354,a352,a30 etc...
Would like to think when a good route is planned in then this could be done on an as and when basis, though sat evenings and Sunday mornings are best for most people I would imagine.
What do you all think?
Rubbish idea?
Sounds like a plan?

A coincidence you should start this, I've been looking for a nice casually route for just myself to take the car out over this weekend for instance. (turns out ill probably head to the purbecks and a country pub lunch) but did make me think a nice drive out with others to somewhere. A couple of hours to do your own thing, wander about if need be and then different route back would be good.
Can rely on the weather so much though to make it work

Sounds a good idea,
South Coast seems to have gone quiet with these over the last couple of years, starting up just as im about to leave for a 9 day Swiss Alps road trip
keep me posted for future runs and im in

i've just back from Switzerland & the Furka pass was still closed due to 10ft of snow - this was just under two weeks ago so hoefully you'll be ok....South Coast seems to have gone quiet with these over the last couple of years, starting up just as im about to leave for a 9 day Swiss Alps road trip

Found some brilliant quiet roads in southern Belgium as well....was really surprised..
4 of us went - 944 turbo, 997 carrera 2, XKR & me in my mapped mk5 gti.....was brilliant fun...
Can't wait until next September when we do it all again...
I'd be up for a weekend hoon..either Saturday evening or Sunday AM...so great roads around Cranborne Chase...
Could make it a weekly event, that way everyone can join at some point, just make a time and place for the start and go from there, can be a different route each time too to make it interesting, west meon is an obvious choice as it's fairly central, and from there you have the a272 or a32 which will always lead you to some great drives, but we all know that lol
