Evening all,

Probably the wrong section, but as per above; has anyone done this before? Mine has been playing up - had a look today at getting the old one off but it's stuck down the back of the engine bay with hardly any access. We have a pit but that's not really any help either as there seem to be two bolts at the top. The injectors and exhaust seem to foul any access.

Any help appreciated

(I did try google first, but nothing!)

I think it is the same as a later model Partner or Berlingo.
Two allen bolts from below the car. Remove the air filter box and a few other bits which will allow you to get to the top of the gearbox where it mounts to the engine. There is one hidden allen bolt which get undone from this side.

You will probably have to undo the exhaust down pipe mounting and pull the down pipe to the side to be able to get the actual starter motor out...

It's an absolute baztard job, you will be amazed to know it's nearly quicker and a sight easier to drop the whole engine and box out on the subframe, when you get to the allen bolts it's how tight Pascal did them up denotes if you can actually undo them, it's shameful how designers now put service items in a place that requires engine removal to get to get to them.
