Both my friends doing it haven't had an email, I expect they are sending them out in blocks.

Make sure you used your usual email address to register, I expect if you log into their website it will tell you as well.

Thats what I said to my mate too! haha!
to be honest if i get a late start time i'll more than likley just join the route a mile or so in, or try to sneak in with my mate- want to try and make it a 250km day, so the earlier the better!

Will do, by the natural history museum okay by you wink

Would be good to meet up after if you're around. I'll be partly dragging my mate Phil around, he's someone who can happily do 25minute sporting course 10s but he's been enjoying himself a little too much recently.

I don't know yet, but probably quite a bit later than I'd like. I'll try to set off early though - perhaps charm my way into your start pen.

Ah crap, 07:30 start time - that should ensure bags of congestion everytime the road points upwards.......

Apparently they are very open to people starting as and when once registered. Most that I know who have done it before say you can start later, which isn't much help if you already have a late start time.

After 20 minutes on hold I got my start time re-emailed to me.

For those that haven't seen the tweet they say if you haven't received an email then you need to call.

Good news is I've got 6.03. Bad news is I've got 6.03.

It should be ok, there are only two climbs, Leith hill is pretty narrow and could be congested but by the time he reaches Box Hill (which was wider than I thought it would be) it was ok and the plodders were helpfully keeping to the left.

I'd say keep to the right on the climbs and take the attack the higher gradient on the inside of the hairpins, its worth it for the space afforded as most people will take the outside line.

Firstly 7:30 start means you won't start at 7:30 because last year by 6:30 they where totally out of sequence and just sending each group once it had moved up, the starter on the mic had no idea what order the groups where. Plus there are 100 people stopped 200yards from the start waiting for the mates clogging up the road :-)

Secondly, this is 20K people spread over 100miles not 50K spread over 60 like the L2B, there was loads of space- riding through London on 4 lane dual carriageway with 500 others feels like you are on your own :-)

Just give the noobs on shoppers and boris bikes space, this is Not (imo) a sportive, the skill level is much wider, treat it like a fun run- full gas when you can but super careful the rest of the time (esp Richmond)
