I'll be up and about with plenty of time to spare, don't worry.

If you've not done the sign on before, we done it today. Very well organised but don't pay for the £15 parking in the ExCeL.. It's only about 2-3 hrs required even looking at every stand.

Good deals on though, so make sure you look around at everything.

Nearly time..

I'm in the 6:06 wave, being dropped off at the Blackwall tunnel some time before...happy to meet up en-route?
3 mins before me!
You're based orpington way right? (i seem to remember?)
Happy to plod down with me if you like : i'm riding to the start : from sidcup
I am indeed, I would take you up on the ride in but have got the lift sorted (that and I doubt I'd manage it all - the cycling has really dropped off with this new job) - i hope I make the distance as it is!

Am aiming to get to around the (closed?) blackwall for ~4:45 to ride in from there (slowly) - that on your route?

ETA - Just seen the above - may get the lift drop-off changed to tower bridge for that sort of time?

Can someone confirm who has ridden this before, once I have booked on at the start and I am footing around waiting to actually start, are there facilities for the tactical pre race, er I mean sportive, dump? As well as secure parking for the dream bikes whilst carrying this out?

Cheers biggrin

In 2013 there were rows of toilets in the pens before the start. As they expected you to be in the pens 30 minutes before your start time, you could then go and lose some weight as required. There was no secure parking but by that point no one could a) nick you bike or b) get that far with it if they did.

It's part of my pre-sportive ritual to have at least two downloads ahead of the start too. You're in good company smile

Yeah - I'll prob be passing through Blackwall at that sort of time - thinking I'll be leaving here at about 4:15...
Damn it's going to be an early start! - hoping to ride back via westerham too if my legs feel ok... We shall see!

I am currently in Bude driving home tomorrow night, pick the bike up Sat morning. I will then be driving to Putney Saturday evening, my mates wife is driving us in to within 5m of the start, I had wanted to ride it.

Anyway, we are yellow wave 06:16. Will keep a lookout for Gruffy in Rapha of PH livery!

Either the yellow retro PH jersey or black rapha with a pink arm stripe. Pockets on the PH jersey are 'aero' and small so may not be quite large enough for a century.

I will be resplendent in raspberry Tommy's top. The pockets are about the only redeaming thing about the top apart from the charity name.

Fingers crossed that it will be just that and bibs, may ditch the arm warmers into the drop off bag or potentially keep them on for a bit.

I'm riding over from the London Bridge NCP for 6:03 start time, so should be there 4:30ish. Will probably be in club kit (VCGH) riding a titanium Litespeed. I'll say hi if I see anyone in PH kit.

It's one of those questions everybody has but nobody wants to ask! I think my posting history put's me in about the best position possible to come out with it wink

Hopefully we won't be helping each other pulling bib straps aside over Tower Bridge. biggrin

I'll be in "italian colours on black" on Sunday. If I see a PH smiley I will say hi though.

I hope I don't have the same experience with Fourmotion I had last time - hopefully no TT regalia on Sunday!

I am off at the 07:30 wave which should ensure I hit congestion somewhere along the line!

I'll be decked out in 700 black/fluro kit and should look something like this, but probably clean shaven and not trying as hard!!

Your picture has confirmed all my thoughts about you as a rider.

If I see you I'll try hold your wheel. If you see me, give me a chance to catch up wink

He's fully colour co-ordinated. If he was any more pro, he's be in full team sky kit smile
