I had specified mine in Voodoo, however after far too much time on the net I changed it Riviera.
Just got to wait now .......... ( and not look at any more colours !!)
Don't want to mess with your head - but IMHO - Voodoo is nicer to my eye than Riv - really sorry !

wink The darker colour suits the larger bodyshell.

I think the GT3 RS will look wonderful in Riviera blue......
The GT3 RS that Porsche had at Goodwood this weekend certainly looked a very impressive
machine but the lava orange colour looked slightly dour- a lighter and more vibrant
shade of orange would look better imho- in Riviera it will look the absolute business though

Don't loose any sleep over it ! One of life's pleasures is buying new and deciding exactly how I want it. Also knowing it could be the only (or close to ) one in the UK.

Blood Orange and Tangerine are the same colour. Tangerine is the official name. I had a 2.4S in that colour and it looked amazing, but it is possibly quite close to Lava Orange.

Are you sure - my extensive Internet search led me to believe that Tangerine was darker than
Blood Orange - looked different to me ?? Either way , they look better than Lava - but neither are on the PTS list which is a shame frown

A lot of people, including some dealers call the colour Blood Orange but Porsche officially call it Tangerine. It's a very reddy orange anyway. I had my car in Hong Kong for a few years and it's very light sensitive. In the light there it looked a lot lighter, almost a salmon sort of colour but when I brought it back to the UK it seemed much darker.

It looks really different in bright sunshine and looks fantastic with the black and silver Fuch wheels and chrome trim.

Wish I'd kept it.

Also a lot (almost all?) have been repainted and so there may be some variation in shades.

Sounds lovely - post a photo please smile What you say makes lots of sense as I was going round and round in circles trying to understand the difference between the two ! Either way it sounds a lot like Lava , at its best looks really rich and dense and then in other images looks washed out and pink - maybe safer to go for White or GT Silver ! smile

I saw Lava at Goodwood - in the showroom and on the road. I've emailed my dealer to say I don't want it now. I just don't like it. Not sure what I'm switching to though..,

It's a pain - it's just not quite right - I really like it in GT Silver but feel it's too safe for a GT car - also nice in White - but it's a bit done to death now - not sure what to do either (not moaning - lovely problem to have !)

I think light yellow would suit. Interesting, but not in your face. Its a big surface so some colours becomes a bit overpowering imo and it has a lot of interesting dark accents that are lost in some of the darker colours.

Overtook a transporter going north on the A1 north of Newcastle last week , it had a 991 GTS in that colour on the back of it , I looked twice thinking I was about to see the GT3 RS.

So I assume someone in Scotland will be taking delivery of a beautiful GTS sometime this week.

Popped to Silverstone myself to have a final look at Lava before confirming my spec - wanted to see it in daylight as I didn't really like it when I saw it originally inside the PEC .I was hoping that it was the lights - unfortunately it wasn't - Lava Orange - not for me : Just not rich enough , looks washed out and not quite right for my eye - it's "OK" but not WOW and it needs to be WOW - I think Blood Orange (Tangerine) is deeper and as such nicer , but unfortunately this isn't available PTS frown

(it looks better - richer and deeper in colour , in the photos than in real life )

That's an easy question to answer..........Mint Green or Maritime Blue - My favourite colours! smile. The fact is more people are bothered about the colour of my car than I will ever be. Not sure there are too many about in this particular hue which is nice to know and it's pleasing that it puts a smile on other peoples' faces too.

Good job we're all different wink
