Sending 4 thin spring washers and 2 thicker ones, that's all I have.

I recommend you source others as I am sure that you'll need more to space them out.
Cheers Peter i have others too that came off standard shafts.
Reckon i will just have enough.

With a quick check set up this is what i have.
The rocker adjusters wound down flush with the nut.

Leaves my pushrods adjusted to this height. There is a good 12mm tread depth into the rod.

12mm should be OK iiho.

I was advised to run the rods inverted with the Yellas.

Just realised the cups are for the smaller ends.
So now i need a new set of adjuster tops with small ends

why do you need to run adjustable pushrods when you've got adjustable rockers?

Because the Chevy lifters use a smaller ball stud cup and in the kit you get both Chevy and RV8 choices to use but only at one end, Peter I never told you to run the push-rods inverted you was told to though or that was what you had fitted but turned out not to be yours are the same way up has Derek and I tongue out

I think Rob told me to run them inverted.

Whatever, Rob assembled the engine last time so I really don't know now.

Best to check with the supplier what's what.

You can, you just have to order plain pushrods with the correct ends up front.

I think real steel do oversized rods that you cut to length and fit whatever ends you need.

Only just seen this thread. Good to see you building another RV8 and not given up and gone down the LS route. Looks like it has a great spec, hopefully no more issues now you have forged internals. I must admit most of the technical stuff goes over my head but enjoying reading and learning.

Keep the pictures coming looks great so far. Hopefully see you at the Pod this year, I feel another side by side run to demonstrate the power of the new engine vs standard TVR 500.

Yep that's my ones for now, custom made to measure with the odd ends set from the states over the winter lay up though.

That took a lot of work. Had to take a couple mm from the insides of the JE outrigger posts to allow extra shims and spring washers. All seems to line up nicely now.
Oh and i had to open up the new 'fully ported' exhaust gaskets to line up with my ports.
Notice i cleaned the oil out of number 4.

Are those studs on the lower, have you slotted all the the lower bolt holes on the manifold. What head bolts are those. Questions questions questions, I know. One day i wll be able to answer somethingrolleyes

Feels like its taking forever.
Want the engine in tomorrow, fired up and bedding the cam on Thursday then will bed the pistons on Dales rollers Friday.

Going to try a 3 stage set up.
100 bhp at full throttle, 70 bhp also at full throttle but with a microswitch preventing operation in 1st gear, then 50 on the steering wheel button just in case.

Yes studs with slots. Much easier to remove and fit whilst in the car.
ARP head studs Barrie, you need these in yours along with decent head gaskets. The composite Elrings are good but may not take the boost you have for too long.
