How the fk is Steve Wright still on national radio?

His new thing is bumble on about serious jocking, he must say it in between every single song.

It's just not funny, at all.

He must be making up all the supposed listeners who leave the sycophantic messages, you never hear their voices do you?

I began a thread on Steve Wright & how the hell is he still on about four years ago............ran to about eleven pages I seem to recall (& virtually none of it positive LOL).

Apparently he was funny once in the eighties.......I wasn't listening that day evidently

The thing is though he was funny in the early 80s when he had characters such as Mr Angry, Damien the Social Worker and Keith Richards complaining about the polecats (poll tax).

It's just st now, I'm always relieved when he's away and someone decent stands in.

My first thought was his Arnie sketches back in the '80s were quite funny, but listening to them again they're not quite as good as I remember

So what is Serious Jocking anyway? I caught some of his show the other day and he kept going on about it but I have no idea what he was on talking about.

I quite like Steve Wright. It's a bit of harmless fun and at least he is trying to do more than just play records also he doesn't talk like some sort of idiot trying to be down with the kids unlike some Radio One dj's I have heard.
Given how dire most TV is at the moment I am surprised his radio show is being singled out. Maybe it's just me but most radio seams to be better than most TV at the moment.

I sent radio 2 an email end of last year.
I asked why they employ a dj who now has not changed for over 30 years, is so out of date, dire, and utter ste.
He talks over nearly every song, or sings along with them,his arse licking interveiws,''the big show''.. great show'' crap.
Why is he still there,I am trapped in work, in not being able to turn the feckker off.
I received a reply saying, he was a total professional skilled in his job with a huge following..don't reply to this answer...
