I have a megasquirt ms2 Ecu that I bought a couple of years back that I'm now trying to wire up but I think it may be screwed . I suspect that the previous owner wired it wrong . If one of the coil or injector outputs was connected to 12v could that damage the board ? It powers up and I can see all the sensors etc but it doesn't see any thing from the crank sensor on either of the vr input lines . Haven't got a scope but there's an ac voltage coming from the crank which uses a factory sensor and trigger wheel ?

Plug it in to a Stim. If it powers up and everything else works, it's not going to be "that" broken - perhaps just a transistor or something.

However - if you didn't build it - has it been built and jumpered for the type of trigger you're trying to run?

Il have to look into that as it's called an mtech v4 and has a surface mounted board that looks nothing like the Ms .

It's ms2 extra and I can see all sensors apart from rpm on tuner studio

I thought MTech copied MS too and sold it as their own ?

You have got the pins round the right way on the crank sensor?
Very easy to do....ask me how I know.

I've tried both ways on both the vr inputs , I had the board out and could see the two little pots which I did think were for adjusting the vr signal . Bit of searching and I've found someone fairly local that can test the unit so hopefully they will be able to sort it

Simple test for the inputs is just apply a voltage to them and see if you see a voltage at the input.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing for me and electronics so il let the other chap sort it out . With all the other sensors working i might be lucky and get it sorted but I'm still not sure how well the ford coil packs can handle boost if I go over wg spring pressure which is only 7 psi .

If it's any half modern coil pack, I'd be amazed if it couldnt handle 15-20psi without problem.
