Good Morning - would anybody know if these are still available - the rubber/EPDM bases between the metal masts & the rear clam on mines are literally disintergrating? Many thanks.

I don't think they're available any more. Some while ago someone on here mentioned they might be able to get some fabricated, the interested list was huge! But nothing happened- I think the guy sold his noble hence nothing materialised, John.

And when you change the rubbers, don't unbolt the wing and let it drop on your drive.
I makes quite a mess of the paintwork, as I found out yesterday frown £280 quote for repair. st.

shcensoredit John! I suppose it's a waste of time my saying always take the wing off of the tops first whilst level leaving the pylons standing alone for individual removal.

You live and learn. This alternative technique never crossed my mind, which is strange considering my pylons(+wing) are a real bh to reinstall.

Would look better with straight edges and a recessed centre as per the originals.

The problem I've seen with many cut from rubber sheet is that, when you tighten them up, the outer edges curl upwards which looks naff. In those above don't do this then great clap

If only. Following the original OP (forget his name?) looking at this and later, myself it understandably stalled. Ask anyone whose tried group buys - all are a PIA. There's...

- the collection and tracking of multiple sums of money coming in
- the laying out of a large sum to the supplier (sometimes before being paid by all purchasers)
- the unknown cost of import duty (UK customs tells you and then change the sum on arrival to the UK)
- packing up and sending out multiple packages in the post and keeping track of them all (especially when some go missing - and you have to replace or refund out of your own pocket!)

Not to mention dealing with queries regarding any reasonable cost-per-item uplift one adds to cover time and effort.

Don't get me wrong, group buys "sound" good and can work but please don't underestimate the time, effort and hassle for one person.

Thanks for all the input....I now have a way of getting more of these moulded (I think - bit of an experiment) but need a good original to make a splash from. Would anybody have such an item I could borrow/buy? Thanks Marco
