I have many, but when asked the question my immediate thought was
Paul Weller - Stanley Road. I've played it hundreds of times and I still enjoy it from start to finish.

I bought that CD last month as my original copy has gone missing. Great album.

Need to add another album to my list of one. Its FUTURE ISLANDS - Singles. Brilliant stuff. The lead singer also demonstrates some top 'Dad dancing' moves, but somehow it works! If you haven't heard it yet (unlikely) give it a few listens.

Too tricky. Ive changed mine after listening to it this evening for the first time in ages. Rage Against The Machine first album. Bit angry for all the time, but I'd be pretty miserable if I could never listen to it again.

fking ace album.

This is a hard choice. I am sure I would tire of any album if I could only ever listen to it, but my short list would be:

The Offspring - Smash
Nirvana - In Utero
Royal Blood - Royal Blood

It's easy to confuse yourself by thinking too deeply.

Some truly excellent suggestions and I might consider 'wish you were here' 'strangers in the night' and so on.

However, the true test must be the album that popped into your head when you read the thread title and for me that's

Genesis - Seconds Out

Even if I think hard about it and mentally review albums from my life that mean a lot it still wins. Never tired of listening to it since it was released, and never will.

Yep, me too. Still haven't heard anything that comes close to overtaking London Calling as my favourite album of all time.
I am with you. I have over 1000 albums on vinyl in my cellar, but the one that I keep going back to, and brings the most enjoyment is this. Is it the best? who knows, music is too personal to value objectively.
Fighting all the way in my heart would be the Stone Roses debut. I'd be happy with either, but miss the other....

I'd cheat by glueing togother two albums, and have side 1 of Marvin Gaye's What's Going On backed by side 2 of Queen II.

Wow some great calls on here smile

Changes from day to day for me smile

But 3 albums stand out..

Court of the Crimson King - KC
Argus - Wishbone Ash
Time Honoured Ghosts - Barclay James Harvest

All life changing - for the better for me smile - but all the bands had various degrees of internal angst wink

Very difficult to narrow it down but maybe Neurosis - A Sun That Never Sets, I wouldn't say that it's my all time favourite album (close though) but it has enough different moods to keep me happy and I have had it on regular rotation since it was released in 2001.
