We have a requirement to send documents to France 2-3 times a week. Can anyone recommend a broker or courier? The best price I have found so far is £19 + VAT with "Courierpoint".

Royal Mail?

It really depends on how heavy, how quick & what value as to the rate you'll pay. Most of the ones in the table are VAT exempt too.

The only way will be via an Express courier such as DHL or UPS. Get in contact with them and get an account opened. You'll easily get a min 50% off their published tariff and will prob cost you circa £10 for a next day doc delivery.

I have been in the industry for 12 years, 8 of them at UPS and 4 working with DHL.

Thanks waiting for a call back from UPS. Although I've checked published rates for UPS and "Express Saver" is £86.36 (+ VAT)!

That's just the "published" rates, nobody pays those.

Most account customers get 60-80% discount on those rates

Cheers Nicky. Any idea what kind of discount I should aim for when (if) UPS call back? Would £10 really be achievable - that's nearly 90% discount. Looking at volume of 2-3 a week.

I use DHL at work, online booking is a doddle and if you book before 11:00 you'll normally get same day collection.

To get that sort of price you'd be looking at shipping 2-300 a month or possibly more.

I know Apple can ship their phones etc from China for around a tenner but they're our highest profile customer so it's kinda "if they want it, they get it"

If you're only sending 2-3 a week i'd recommend Transglobal Express, you can ship via UPS through them for around £13 for documents

It must be address dependant, the place I am shipping to gets added "remote" charges. It's not very remote...

That's from Transglobal Express

It would be address dependent, most will have surcharges if it's deemed rural
