Hi quick question re: P11D

I was made redundant last year and part of the settlement agreement signed after my contract was terminated was I could keep my company issued computer equipment, however this has been entered on my P11D, is this correct as it would appear I now have a tax liability on it?

Doesn't feel correct as I don't recall this type of thing having an impact on my tax code when I have changed jobs and been able to keep IT equipment with permission.

Any pointers as don't want to be screwed over even more!

Was it included as part of the value of your statutory redundancy amount?

Or was it separate?

Hi , it was listed in a separate section of the settlement agreement and had no value listed against it.

Does this help?

You will only have a P11d benefit until the date you left - there shouldn't be any afterwards.

So assuming you left after 6/4/14 there will be a benefit of 20% of the equipment value apportioned to the number of days employed/365.
