09 Renault Laguna estate rear lights

Been trying for an hour to remove the bloody rear light. Opened the tailgate removed the panel, removed the 3 bolts and tried to slide the light backwards just like it says in the book only it will not bloody move even with considerable force and levering it with a chisel.

How does ithe light come out? Any tips welcome before I take it to the nearest cliff and push it off.

You've probably already sussed it now, but from memory, i think you had to pop them out from the side of the car before you could pull them forward
