Morning,

I'm looking at installing a laminova and have one question on the plumbing aspect. Does the laminova need to be installed on the water pipe coming from the back of the engine when installed in the car or from the water pipe to the radiator. The car does not run a heater.
Cheers

What are the advantages here - quicker heat up time for the oil?

The idea behind the laminova is that the water heats up faster than the oil therefore the laminova will heat the oil up faster than it would of its own accord. Once up to temperature the water will then control the oil temperature providing the laminova is sized correctly and the cooling system can take the extra strain.

For me once sized correctly it removes the hassle of continuously adding tape and removing tape from the oil cooler dependent on the British weather.

Having spoken to a few companies I have decided to run the laminova from the back of the head as opposed to the front. This will be the water going through the laminova will be higher than after the radiator however the oil being used can cope with up to 120 deg C therefore should not be an issue.
