It would be nice, wouldn't it.
I'm booked for Croft and Knockers (Knockhill) 1st week in Sept.

I'm organising a handful of tivs for Castle Combe on 31-07-15.

You missed Bedford Autodrome last week, there was about 8 tivs there.

Also Snetterton a couple of Months ago, again about 8 tivs there.

Keep an eye on the chim forum, there are often TDs, drag days and sprints active.

Here's a taster from last week;

I enjoyed that for the second time. Picked up some pointers, couple of corners I kept looking in the wrong direction,,,
Your speedo's way behind with those big tyres Peter, do you think you could touch 150mph down the long straight before the chicane,,,, hook it up out the previous corner and brake hard and late,,,, I reckon you could quite easily,,,, I'm not sure you'd get through the chicane yikes
What a great great car.

TVRCC Trackdays have been really poorly attended in the past - which is odd given the nature of a TVR and the popularity of other TVR events. So the hassle or arranging it, then running it has kinda put an end to it.

There is the TVRCC Spped Championship but that's not a trackday.

Keep your eye on the forums - clicking on the 'TVR' in the location / library list at the top of the page will take you to forum overview of the latests posts - there are plenty of us who track our cars regularily - Phazed, Qbee, me to name but three - and post up details of the days we're doing so others can attend. Snetterton was well attended - 8 on track and a few turned up to watch - as was Bedford.

Not sure whether I'll get back on track this year. The family seem to think that I'm on short notice to fly over the other side of the world to sort things out.

I attended a very well run track day at Goodwood arranged by the TVRCC Hants region. They run them a few times a year but I assume you need to be on their email list to hear about them.

There's another one on the 9th of July - I think. Again, TVRCC Hants organised. Details available on their facebook page.

I too find it rather odd, and very sad. For years there were several TVR only days per year, often with waiting lists. Now owners appear to be content to concentrate on polishing, rather than track action. Sweeping generalisation obviously, but when a club of some 6K members can get 600 cars in a field, but not 50 cars at a track, it says a lot about the current ownership profile.

Maybe when (if) production moves again, we'll see a resurgence in interest in driving these cars as they should be.

I went on a TVRCC Hants Region track day at Goodwood last year, actually it was a half day costing £120 I think. I really enjoyed it and for me that offered the right amount of time on track at the right cost, and Goodwood is only about a 45 minute drive from my home.

I wouldn't want a whole day on the track as apart from the cost I'd get bored, or maybe crash through lack of concentration/trying too hard, also if I had perhaps a 2 hour drive to get to the track it would hardly seem worthwhile for a half day on track - maybe other TVRCC members feel the same and that's why they don't sign up for track days?
