Hi all not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes.
I have just ordered a new Seat CUP endurance car to run in next years Hankook 24hr series http://www.24hseries.com/
I have seen some fantastic designs for race car graphics posted from time to time and I wondered if anyone was interested in coming up with some design ideas.
We will be totally wrapping the car from top to bottom so anything is possible.
I would like to run this as a little competition with the winner having there design applied to the car for the full season and there name also displayed on the car.
There are no real limitations for the design the only limits are the ability of the wrapping people to be able to print it and actually get it to fit on the car.
Also as we intend to push quite hard damage will be inevitable so panels and bumpers will have to be replaced and these will need wrapping as well so complex designs are quite difficult to work with in practice.
The other thing to take in to consideration is we have to run some sponsor graphics as mandated by the race organisers and of cause number panels so these need to be incorporated in to the design.
We don't have any headline sponsors so there is no colour restrictions (just don't make it black) a black car gets VERY hot in the sun.

We should take delivery in September, ready for testing in October and it has to be finished by November to ship to Dubai for the first race in 2016 so no time to waste.

Anyway if any body is interested you can PM me for details

Some pictures of the car as it comes from the factory.

Could you make it similar to an art car, or graffiti art by locals to really make it stand out?

I quite like the ones at Le Mans.

https://www.facebook.com/PLUTOniuMOK?fref=photo&am...

Pluto Mok has built a big name for himself and has done designs for cars racing in China, Macau and GT's.
He won't do it for free but I suspect he's reasonable. His designs look good and he's done a few touring cars.

Make sure to post a few photos on LeonOC fb page when it arrives. I visit a few of the Leon Eurocup races each season with SEAT Sport.

So you don't want just any old fantastic design, you want a free fantastic design!
Yep that's the plan smile

To be honest I am not that keen on the art car style, I think it looks to busy and doesn't show the lines of the car so well, a bit like the camouflage they use when testing a new model car they don't want people to see the shape.
But I am a bit old school.

Some of my favourite designes are the flying lizards 911 in the ALMS from a few years back

You could try Jan

https://www.facebook.com/Jan.Mox3d/timeline

But i think he would expect his company logo at least on the design.

Would ask photographer to do you wedding for free. A good designer puts in a lot of time, makes a 3d of the car does the mock ups in different scenes and scenarios, often requirement when chasing sponsors.

Dubai is a good so will see you there frll free to drop buy and see the expat PHers in the zettanet racing pit,

He's just asking for ideas, not the entire design process from start to finish which is what the actual company he takes the idea to will do.

Indeed, and I know that there's people who would love to have there design on a real car taking part in an international championship.

The final design will have to be done by the wrapping company.

If your not interested don't bother to post thank you.

How about posting some details of the team/drivers/sponsors etc. You can't get must less inspiring than a completely blank canvas.

The team is CTR, I am one of the drivers the others are to be finalised.
We don't have sponsors, I fund it.

And that's my problem, I only have a blank canvas and graphic design is not my strong point. So I was hoping for some inspiration and in return a motor sport fan would have there name on the car.

IMHO best livery I have seen so far on a MK3 Cupracer is that of B3 Racing of Hungary.

Yep looks good, but its dark grey, not a good colour to run on a very hot day.
