Staying near Gaydon Advice please.
Discussion
Last time I asked a question like this I got some fantastic recommendations for Knutsfiord.
I'm going to an event at Gaydin in August.
Ideal place would be a nice not too dear country hotel in a pleasant little town.
Better still a pnessanr real ale oak beam type pub.
Safe parking or better still a car park.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm only a few miles from there, if you want some more country options rather than Leamington or Warwick here are some:
Fawsley Hall

Depends if you want to push the boat out - very nice, a bit £££ but no more than c20 mins
Wroxton House Hotel
http://www.bw-wroxtonhousehotel.co.uk/contact
Yes it's a Best Western but it's a good hotel and bar, about 10 mins away
Red Lion Adderbury

Good food, nice village
Glebe Hotel Barford
http://www.glebehotel.co.uk/
Not been for a while but used to be good
Castle at Edgehill
http://www.castleatedgehill.co.uk/
Great views, good pub. Close
Rich.

We are booked into Haseley Coach house on our way down to Cornwall for our hols this year.
It seems to get a pretty decent rep on Tripadvisor.

The Walton Hall has some pretty nice rooms. Not too far.
Check when you book what rooms are available, we stayed in a fab room overlooking the rear gardens which was one of the old proper bedrooms, floor to ceiling windows etc. Not too dear either; but not all rooms are as good.
Be aware - it's primarily a Wedding Venue.Check when you book what rooms are available, we stayed in a fab room overlooking the rear gardens which was one of the old proper bedrooms, floor to ceiling windows etc. Not too dear either; but not all rooms are as good.

I'll get Googling Kenilworth. Cheers.
The Kenilworth is a nice hotel. I'd not recommend the other hotels in Kenilworth tho. It has nice pubsLeamington has nice places to eat, the pubs can be rough, and there's not really any nice hotels other than the Adams
Warwick has the nice pubs and a few hotels, The Globe & Machado Gallery B&B spring to mind
Stratford upon Avon has the nice hotels but not the pubs
The Glebe at Barford is still lovely
I'll add Studley Castle, nothing nearby but has the oak beamed bar, good food & good rooms all in one place
