One of the bulbs in the wifes Audi A6 failed over the weekend.
I had the pleasure of replacing.

I took of the side panels in the boot and found this mess of wires. What are these boxes for and what should be on the tend of these large connectors?

She has a 6 cd changer in the boot already as well as a Navigation system. I cant think what these would be for......



The boxes have "drive and talk" written on them.

A proper phone kit of some sort? The ones with a cradle on the dash perhaps? Maybe it was half removed at some point

Take a close up of the two 'piggyback' looking boxes. They don't look like Audi parts to me.

CD changer in the boot? Should be in the glove box unless it's got some sort of weird after market setup.

It's (at least part of) a handsfree kit.

Looks a bit like a "connects2" kit that I've used in the past - it's for connecting up other devices like iPods, handsfree, etc.

It was st, it didn't last and was a pain to remove so half of it got left - That was in a B6 Passat...
