Hi guys,

I'm not sure if I'm the only one that's experiences this but when viewing subforums whichever advert is below the top banner seems to ping me straight to the App Store to download their stty application, namely William Hill, Ladbrokes and some game, I can't remember exactly!

Is this something I'm doing wrong? Or is it the adverts that do it?

Thanks

ETA: phone has the most recent update and I'm using the latest google chrome app

This is caused by the companies providing certain ads on the site not following the rules we have in place for advertising quality.

So I need to point the ad team to this post and see what they say about it.

Personally, I think Apple should be more proactive in stamping on this kind of advertising. They control the App Store, automatic redirects from the browser without user permission should get someone's knuckles rapped.

All scummy, seedy companies that a reputable web site wouldn't be allowing full stop. No doubt the "One wierd trick" and penis enlargement ads will be infesting the site at some point.

This is the most frustrating thing ever. Makes the site completely unusable. Please resolve this before I lose my sanity and go on a murderous rampage.

Will re-raise this.

Also got it on Daily Mash and Football Fantasy League over the weekend too.

Pete - any chance you could take a look at this problem too? It's been a heck of a long time since I've been able to browse on my phone, and 6 threads don't seem to have been acknowledged.

MO for these seem to be to reactivate on a Friday night for the weekend when fewer people can pick up the issue and fix before Monday morning - so will see how it is this weekend.
