Wanted to share with the Pistonheads community.

I've attended Goodwood for the Festival of Speed for the past 7 years and the main Audi stand just keeps on getting better.

This year, the key holder areas had a great view of the track and the notorious Molecomb corner where there were quite a few off's this year.

Audi also had a seating area that served free drinks, including strawberries and cream.

The display of cars was excellent with everything on display!

Well done Audi, myself and the rest of my party enjoyed the free hospitality.

Thanks
Lewy

Apart from all the cars being in recession white and looking identical it was ok-ish.

There was some blue and red cars inside Karl, but I take your point, they did look quite "same'ish" outside the stand.

It was a decent stand (and the satchel was as good as ever, my one from last year is wearing thin!) but just lacking in imagination, especially compared to the Jag, Land Rover, Ford and Honda stands.

I love that Audi put up a decent viewing area; the free refreshments are a great gesture too. Go on the Friday and it makes for a (by Goodwood standards) cheap day out.

I have to confess that being surrounded by them all day I tend not to pay too much attention to the cars on the stand wink

I also thought that their free 4x4 experience was excellent, they'd created a longer circuit this year. They also deserve top marks for organisation - I liked the way you could register and choose a time & vehicle, much better than the Jaguar 'F type' experience which though very good fun meant a 2 hour wait in a queue to take your turn (Same also for the Land Rover experience I think).

Agreed it was great, although I forgot to bring Audi keys with me!

The virtual reality area next to the off road experience was particularly impressive

A friend of mine helped build the stand - I'll point him at this smile

Terminator,

I really liked the sound of the RS3 going up the hill, prefer it red to be honest.

I am fortunate enough to have a current RS6 which makes a great noise and also enjoyed a quick donut in the Goodwood grass field car park ;-)
