When I start my Ducati Hailwood Replica, it only runs on the horizontal cylinder. The vertical cylinder will only chime into life if I pull the spark plug cap off, so there is a small gap between the contact in the cap and the spark plug terminal. If I push the plug cap fully back on, the bike reverts to a single cylinder. Any ideas anyone?

Does the problem move if you swap the plugs over?
Ditto if you swap the leads over (if possible to do so)

Yes, I've swapped plugs, the next thing is to swap leads and coils and see if the problem moves!

I would imagine its a coil problem, maybe a corroded connection giving low output, what you are doing is just amplifying the spark youve got,

Thanks for that.
