Small smartphone
Discussion
I currently use a Nokia 301 (with buttons, remember them?(*)) and actually really like it, but could do with a larger screen, and the only way to do that is to go touchscreen.
I've looked at the Samsung Galaxy Young, which is basically for kids, and the Sony Xperia E1, which doesn't get great reviews. They're about the right size, but anything higher specced always has a larger screen, which as I always keep my phone in my pocket I don't want to go much larger than the Nokia.
Any suggestions?
(*) Until a year and a half ago I was still using a Sony Ericsson K800 which, as my colleague kept telling me, was James Bond's phone. In 2006.

The current Moto G is an absolute steal. Bought the Mrs one for Xmas, it's superb for the money. Not what I'd call small, though. Thin, yes, but tall and wide too.
I use an Xperia Z3 Compact. A bit smaller than the G, a bit faster and a much better camera. Battery life is unusually good too. Possibly worth a look if you like the Android setup, but nowhere near as small as your Nokia.
If you want small size then the iPhones may be worth a look. Work issued me with a 5S, I don't actually like it as a telephone (I went back to my faithful Nokia 6303 for work duties) but then I'm not entirely sold on the Apple Thing. Have to concede, however, that it's very compact and has a very nice screen and a fairly decent camera. You can pick up one of the 4's for peanuts now.
Smaller smartphones tend to be the low-end versions. Years ago I had a Sony Xperia Mini Pro, which was tiny and had a slide out keyboard with real buttons. I loved that phone, and would buy the quad-core HD-screen equivalent tomorrow, if only it existed!
