So after the sum total of 13 days we've managed to spot a house, have mortgage offered, do a deal and we're on the move to our dream house rotate

One thing I can't get my head around is where to put the projector screen & TV confused

Currently we have the below;

This works great for us, no huge speakers everywhere, electrically rolls away when not needed an we've got an L shaped sofa so we can sit the other way to just watch our lcd TV.

The new house has the living room like this;

Ignoring the decor, what you're looking at is the living room and summer room (which we hope to make into our posh dining room) and I'm thinking of the TV above the fireplace (which will be rebuilt) and the projector screen above that. But as you can obviously tell, the screen is much bigger than the chimney breast.

I've had a separate cinema room in the past but I'd prefer it in our main family room as I find it works for us better that way. Any ideas? Dimensions copied off the sales brochure are as follows;
Living Room - 5.56m x 5.08m (18' 3" x 16' 8")
Summer Room - 5.28m x 2.97m (17' 4" x 9' 9")
These might need a pinch of salt as one dimension of the summer room should obviously match the living room but put it this way, it's a pretty decent sized living room!

All help appreciated!

That was my forst thought...above the fireplace (maybe make sure you don't try and watch a film and have a fire at the same time, eh?).

Only other way would be to have it on the wall the sofa is againt, opposite that window? Sitting across a room always makes placing the rear speakers tricky, probably want in ceilings, bi-poles on the wall, or 'normal' speakers facing each other. And the rad is in the way of wear the seats need to go....window is behind you...hmmm...

Plus the room beyond the living room is presently used as a summer room, which as you can imagine is south facing. That would mean any other wall but the fires place will mean shutting out the light.

Would this cause a problem with the LCD above the fireplace anyway?

So far I've found this image of something that might work;

In the photo of the new living room, what it to the right hand side, behind the sofa?

An internal window to the hallway (sort of a design feature).
