One of my girls bought a 2012 cooper S coupe four weeks ago and the service light come on within a week, but service not due, so booked it in for it to be sorted
Whilst the car was in they said it was due a break fluid change and as it's covered under the TLC package I said ok they said it was also due a soft wear update
I'm now wishing I haven't as the have now had to change most of the modules due to the update ie radio, satnav etc

Has anybody had issues like this as they now have had to be car for a week and it's now been taken to one of their BMW garages to be sorted😡

Under the TLC there is no definite service schedule, and service items are done only 'on-demand'. I have driven back from one service, got in the car two days later and had the service light come on for something else.

Regarding the software update, it should be just that - the software. However, because of all the different options, it's very easy to crash the system if the wrong update is applied. Windows Updates are smooth in comparison. I assume they're not charging you for the work?

Picked up the car today apparently it was two faulti moduals , the problem was that they couldn't set it up to the 2012 satnav setting and they wouldn't just install 2015 updates because they change £250 for that, Evan though they spent five days trying to sort plus a loan car
It just doesn't make good business sense surely ?
