Brake pedal that is. The Wedge has been collected and so far appears to be all sorted with new thermostat and engine running a little cooler than previous, minor hairline chassis cracks welded and upgraded brake kit installed. The brake pedal has a maximum of maybe 20mm movement and feels great. The pads and new discs need bedding in so the bite is not as sharp as it should be but I'm told that with a bit of spirited driving tomorrow they will get even better.

Right, so what else could go wrong in the next 60 hours?

Nice work Keith, those brakes will bed in nicely. When you use then in anger you'll be amazed

I'm going to whip the wheels off tomorrow to double check all is tight so I'll take a few photos then. So far so good. Not quite a simple straight swap but I've been to the office and back today (24 miles) and the brakes just get better and better. I did go with EBC standard road pads but now wishing I'd paid the extra for the Mintex 1144's as that was what I had on the standard calipers and I was very impressed with their "bite".
