Best MX5 donor

Hi everyone, first time on this section so appologies if im asking this again
I am considering fitting a MX5 1.8 engine into a TVR Tasmin - eventually turbo or suopercharged
I want to use the engine and full wiring loom ( tvr ones are crap ) if I get a car with ABS can i disable it ? or will it upset the ECU ? or would i need a megasquirt or something ?
Ive looked at all cars from 90 till 2003
Any ideas or info gratefully received.
if I do this it will be worth it to upset the TVR purists / geeks.
