I better get round to buying a copy of Neil Young's "American Stars 'n Bars" before it's banned.

Interesting. I don't think many people in the UK have any idea about the American confederate flag and the civil war.

Ridiculous!

The kid had easy access to guns but the reaction is to ban the flag.

Something happens in real life, so ban something on TV.

There we go, the balance has been adjusted.

It's like banning the George cross, because some drunk hooligans who have them on their sleeveless t-shirts have some bad opinions.

I think it has been banned from UK screens as well, that or they stopped making it about 30 years ago so no one cares.

Lets ban a flag thats linked to historical slavery which will act as a nice distraction to the TPP and modern slavery.

The George cross wasn't a pro slavery flag and is still a national flag.

I always wanted a general lee but was never sure if I'd prefer an A team van instead. My wife has unfortunately been unsupportive thus far. I wonder if general lee owners are going to have to make some awful look a like flag to go on the roof instead.

I bought a Confederate Flag in Tennessee. The vendor was so surprised a Brit even knew what it was, he did not charge me for it. It was 1978.

They could still show the show, just superimpose the rainbow flag on the roof of the General lee and watch people really get upset !

Asterisk doesn't work on PH when used as the first character in the line on a post. It does now I've quoted you.

Similarly, autocorrect sometimes works in ways you don't wish it to.

Funny isn't it, the internet.

Liberal Logic: You MUST be tolerant of other people and cultures! Unless those people are white, christian, southerner...or if they just have a different opinion than yours, then you can be as intolerant as you want

Indeed, in fact it goes further than that... then you should be intolerant.

It's been a good 30 years since I've seen any DoH but I watched this with my parents and I doubt my mum would have allowed me to if the show had racist overtones.

Is my memory wrong?
