Bath, then bed.

The Porter, on George St in Bath is ideal for a 1st date. Smart casual dining and a nice little cocktail bar.

Martini's Italian restaurant on George Street has a nice casual, but lively atmosphere. The food and service is normally pretty good too.

You could try the Hudson Bar and Grill on London Street, quite smart inside but still relaxed, a little pricier than Martini's, lovely steaks and good wine though.

There's the Marlborough Tavern, not far from the Royal Crescent / Victoria Park. Very pleasant atmosphere, quite chilled with a smaller but good menu with great food. Good beer, nice wine and even a few cheeky cocktails available too. Pleasant service, similar price to Hudson Bar and grill, very pleasant.

Or, you could try the Barasserie Blanc, which is on Queen's square, the food is pretty good, the service is great, atmosphere very nice. Not quite as relaxed as the others, but it is a lovely dining experience.

I would suggest Menu Gordon Jones if you really want to impress, but you'll have to book a table for December or January by now I expect!

Thanks all for the comments .I chose the to go to the glassboat .parked in the ncp just round the corner
I got to the glassboat for about 8 .but not 1 person on it couldn't even see any staff .so went to the Chinese on Baldwin street witch tuned out to be a very nice meal

Though parking in the ncp turned out to be bloody expensive for 6 hour's
£15.60 should of parked somewhere else .

Anyway great news I must of done something right there is a 2nd date planned

Though I think next time ill get a taxi into the centre
