OK, so Natwest have now ended their Rewards Credit Card, after numerous years of spending about £1,500 per month on it I'm now looking for an alternative. What are the best alternatives? Cashback or shopping vouchers etc.

There was a thread on this a while back. I looked at the defaqto 5* rated cards and went for one of the MBNA ones.

When Capital One stopped paying 1% CB all I could find was Tesco Bank paying 0.5%, I'm told you can quadruple this if you convert to vouchers for days out etc?

My main card now is a Barclaycard Cashback paying 0.5%, I've had this for ages so not sure if it's still available to new applicants.

I also have an AmEx paying up to 1.5%, problem is nobody I spend large amounts with takes it frown Used for fuel etc it makes me about £120pa which is better than nothing.

I use an AMEX platinum https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/content/platinu... (although I understand that, like all, the benefits have been watered down a little) coupled with a Barclaycard (previously Egg) visa for when AMEX isn't accepted...I can't seem to find the Barclaycard one on their site now though.....
