Saab Aero 95 sidelights not working

Hi all,
Having problems with sidelights not working on 2001 year Aero.
To be honest don't know when they last may have worked as never use them, but noticed and bugs me.
Don't get a 'light failure' warning though, but do with all other lights if bulb blows etc.
Have checked bulbs by putting elsewhere and they work. Have checked fuses and am now thinking it could be the relay unit?
Appears car 'thinks' bulbs work, but they don't.
I suspect the 'Lampcontrol 12v Class 3' relay, though that says 2x low beam and 2x main beam on it, it is black, not orange, and no mention of sidelights. This item appears not to be something I can open up either. Do I need another one? This is stamped with Saab Hella 95 24 836 and at the bottom 5kg 005 675-00
Anybody else know better than me, which wouldn't be difficult!
